Do you do Basic Med?
Currently, we are not offering Basic Med exams. Please ask your primary care provider for this service.
I need a medical, where do I begin?
ALL classes of flight medicals begin with an application through the FAA website, FAA Med Xpress. LINK
What should I bring to my appointment?
Ensure you have already applied through Med Xpress (See above), bring the confirmation number issued in your confirmation email. ALSO bring the following:
Government-Issued Photo ID (driver’s license or passport)
For Special Issuance, bring most recent letter from Airman’s Certification Branch of FAA regarding your special issuance medical - also any required documents necessary for your specific special issuance.
What does my examination involve?
Typically, most examinations DO NOT involve the removal of any clothing beyond outerwear (jackets). The exception is for individuals who require an ECG as a part of their examination. Female applicants, please bring a medical chaperone or make prior arrangements with the Doctor. All applicants should arrive prepared to provide a urine sample on-site.
What is the urine tested for?
The FAA only requires testing of proteins and sugars present in the sample. The sample MUST be collected on site (privately). The urine testing is not a drug screening. The test is conducted on-site for immediate results.
How do I pay for my exam?

$50 - Additional Fee for Special Issuance
$50 - Additional Fee for ECG (if required)
Salem, Oregon Medical Exam
$175.00 - ALL classes of medicals
$50 - Additional Fee for Special Issuance

Consultation FEE (both locations)
$75 - per 15 minute block of consultation time
